About The Program

World Art Erotica was originally managed by the Hedonisia Hawaii EcoFeminist Community until the community was destroyed in the Kilauea volcanic eruption of May 2018. Since then, the museum has continued as part of the Hedonisia Lava to Lotus web portfolio, a collection of creative projects built on the philosophy of turning adversity into opportunity.

Volunteers are invited to join any of these projects according to their interests, skills, and availability. All collaboration begins with a working agreement that is published openly in the interests of transparency and can be customized to suit each individual's contribution.

What Virtual Volunteers Work On

Our most active current volunteer opportunity is the World Art Erotica Digital Museum itself: an ongoing redesign and expansion in WordPress to better reflect the depth of the museum's collections, educational resources, and cultural archives. There is meaningful work here for people with skills in writing, research, web design, SEO, content creation, image curation, and social media.

Volunteers are also welcome to contribute to other projects in the Lava to Lotus portfolio depending on their interests and what is most needed at the time.

Long-Term Involvement And Profit Sharing

Volunteers who contribute consistently over three months and wish to stay involved on a long-term basis are offered a Profit Sharing Agreement. The agreement runs for five to seven years and is customized to reflect the skill level, energy, and knowledge the long-term volunteer brings to the project. It is a genuine investment in people who are genuinely invested in the museum.
